Jakarta, November 4, 2025 – PT KA Properti Manajemen (KAI Properti), a subsidiary of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Nusantara Energi Khatulistiwa (NEX) regarding cooperation in the development and utilization of solar power plants (PLTS) within KAI’s property assets.
The MoU signing took place on Tuesday (Nov 4) at KAI Properti’s Head Office in Jakarta. KAI Properti was represented by Muhammad Abrar, Acting Director of Operations, while PT Nusantara Energi Khatulistiwa was represented by Suyono, President Director. The event was also attended by management representatives from both companies.
This collaboration marks the initial step in exploring the potential for utilizing renewable energy through solar power systems at KAI’s strategic assets. The scope of cooperation includes technology research, feasibility studies, planning, PLTS infrastructure development, and capacity building for human resources in the field of solar energy.

Through this partnership, we aim to optimize KAI’s assets to be more productive, efficient, and provide added value for both the company and society,” said Muhammad Abrar, Acting Director of Operations at KAI Properti.
Through this partnership, KAI Properti and NEX are committed to delivering renewable energy solutions that are environmentally friendly and efficient. The solar power projects to be developed are expected to serve as a model for green asset management within KAI’s ecosystem, while also strengthening the company’s contribution to national carbon emission reduction efforts.
